New works include botanical dyes, flax roving yarn, soy based pigments, recycled fabrics and hand stitching. In partnering contemplatively with earth materials, I am reacting to a fast paced technological world in which our monetized relationship with time has left me feeling anxiously disconnected from nature's rhythms. When contemplatively working with these age old materials and processes, I feel a sense of coming home to a quiet space of awe and connection.
